What we help with
A broad range of everyday medicine.
Start with what you need — each card takes you to the right service. If you are not sure, book a GP consultation and we will point you the right way.
Acute illness
Coughs, infections, urinary and skin complaints, pain, and the everyday problems that need seeing soon — often the same day, subject to availability.
Long term conditions
Reviews of blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, thyroid and other ongoing conditions, with time to get the detail right.
Children and family
Everyday children's health and GP care for the whole family, with time to listen properly.
Sick notes and letters
Private sick notes, fit to work certificates, and letters for employers, schools and universities — where clinically appropriate after assessment.
Referrals
Prompt referral letters to private consultants when specialist input is needed. Referral letters £50, where clinically appropriate after assessment.
Medical reports
Medical reports for employers, insurers and other formal purposes — from £120, where clinically appropriate after assessment.
Checks and results
A careful read of blood tests and scans you already have, and a considered second opinion.
What it is
Unhurried private GP care.
The thing most people want from a doctor is time. Our appointments are unhurried, with time to listen properly, assess carefully, and explain things clearly. You are seen by a GMC registered GP, not rushed through. We take a full history, talk through your concerns, and agree a plan with you. That might be a referral, a fit note or further tests — where clinically appropriate after assessment — or simply a clear explanation and reassurance.
Consultations are held in clinic at 466 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, or as home visits. With your consent we send a short summary to your NHS GP. Clinique Alpa is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

Good to know
Frequently asked questions.
How much is a private GP appointment?
A 30 minute consultation in clinic is £100 and a follow up within 14 days is £90. A 60 minute home visit, Monday to Friday, is £250; at weekends, between 9am and 7pm, home visits are £325 an hour. Payment is taken securely when you book.
Can I be seen the same day?
Often, yes, subject to availability. Appointments are available at our Palmers Green clinic, and our doctors also make home visits.
Do I need to register or be referred?
No. You do not need to register with us or have a referral. Private GP care is open to anyone. With your consent we send a short summary to your NHS GP so your records stay joined up.
Can the GP refer and issue notes?
Yes. Where clinically appropriate after assessment, we can issue a sick note or fit to work certificate, and a referral to a private consultant. Fees are on our appointments and fees page.
Is private GP care a replacement for my NHS GP?
No. It sits alongside the NHS. It gives you more time and quicker access when you need it. If you have a medical emergency, such as severe chest pain or difficulty breathing, call 999.
