Our policies · How we write

How we write and check our content.

You read an article on our website and wonder whether a person wrote it. Often an AI tool wrote the first draft. A doctor then checked it, corrected it and approved it before it went live, and a named doctor is responsible for what we publish.

Responsibility

A named doctor is responsible.

Clinical content on this website is the responsibility of Dr Mitesh Parmar, MBBS MRCGP, a GP registered with the General Medical Council (GMC 6113670). Where an article names the doctor who wrote or reviewed it, that doctor takes professional responsibility for it, whether or not AI tools helped with the draft.

AI tools

Where we use AI.

  • AI writing tools help us draft articles and some page text. The drafts start from our own topic plans and a house style guide that sets out our clinical and advertising rules.
  • AI image tools are used for some of the illustrations on this website and on our social media.
  • Some of our social media videos use AI generated voices, presenters or short explainer segments.
  • AI tools produce drafts only. Nothing is published automatically.

Human review

How a doctor checks it.

  • Before an article is published, a doctor reads it in full, checks it for clinical accuracy against current UK sources such as the NHS and NICE, corrects it and approves it.
  • Each draft is also checked against the advertising rules that apply to doctors and clinics, including GMC guidance and the CAP Code. We remove superlatives, claims we cannot verify and any detail that could identify a patient.
  • Every video is checked by a doctor before it is posted, including AI presenter scripts and explainer segments.
  • Guides in our health library are published only after a doctor has reviewed them.

Images and video

What is real and what is illustrated.

  • Photographs of our doctors are real photographs.
  • Other images are illustrations, and some are made with AI image tools. They never show real patients and never show treatment results.
  • AI presenters in our videos are never shown as doctors, clinicians or patients, never give a patient testimonial and make no clinical claims. Clinical information in our videos is checked by a doctor.

Using our articles

Information, not personal advice.

Our articles are general information. They are not a diagnosis and they do not replace a consultation with a doctor who can assess you. If you are worried about a symptom, please book an appointment or speak to your NHS GP.

In an emergency, call 999. For urgent advice that cannot wait, call NHS 111.

Corrections

If something looks wrong.

If you think something on our website is wrong or out of date, please email enquiries@cliniquealpa.co.uk. A doctor will review it, and we will correct the page where it needs correcting.
