A GP who comes to you
A home visit brings unhurried GP care to your door. It is the sensible choice when getting to a clinic is hard, or when someone is too unwell to travel.
The visit is a full consultation, not a quick look in. We take a careful history, examine you, and agree a clear plan. Where it is appropriate we issue a prescription, arrange blood tests, write a referral, or provide a sick note. With your consent we send a short summary to your NHS GP.

Older and frail patients
Care at home for anyone who finds travel tiring, painful or unsettling.
Housebound patients
For people who cannot easily leave home, with the same time and attention as a clinic visit.
Unwell children
A calmer option for a poorly child than a waiting room, seen in familiar surroundings.

When taking time out to travel and wait is not realistic, the GP comes to you.

We come to you
From the resume date, a GP arrives at the agreed time with everything needed for the visit.

Care that joins up with the rest
A home visit fits alongside the rest of your care. If something is better dealt with in clinic or by a specialist, we will say so and arrange it.
- A video consultation first, where that is enough to help.
- An appointment at the clinic in 466 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, N13 5PA, when an examination or procedure needs it. In-person appointments are expected to resume from 24 August 2026.
- A prompt referral to a private consultant when specialist input is needed.

A daytime home visit, 8am to 9pm, is £250. An extended visit of up to 120 minutes is £480. At night, 9pm to 7am, the fee is £450, or £750 for an extended visit. The fee is confirmed when you book.

When is a home visit the right choice?
When travelling to a clinic is difficult or unwise. It suits older and frail patients, anyone housebound, young children who are unwell, and anyone who is simply too poorly to come in.
What can the GP do during a home visit?
A full consultation. We take a history, examine you, and where it is appropriate we prescribe, arrange blood tests, refer to a specialist, or issue a sick note. You get the same unhurried care as in clinic.
Is a home visit suitable for an emergency?
No. A home visit is for problems that are not emergencies. If you have severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke, or heavy bleeding, call 999 now.
