60-minute GP home visit: from £250 per hour
Includes travel for addresses with an estimated one-way driving time of up to 20 minutes from Clinique Alpa, N13 5PA.
Longer journeys carry a travel supplement of £50 for each additional 20-minute travel band (21 to 40 minutes £50, 41 to 60 minutes £100). Journeys over 60 minutes are quoted individually.
Visits starting between 8pm and 11pm on any day (the evening rate, £450 an hour) and weekend or bank holiday visits starting between 9am and 7pm (£325 an hour) carry the same travel supplement rule.
Any additional investigations or treatment recommended during the consultation will be discussed, priced and agreed with you before they are provided.

What it is
A GP who comes to you.
A home visit brings unhurried GP care to your door. It is the sensible choice when getting to a clinic is hard, or when someone is too unwell to travel. Every visit is carried out by a GMC-registered GP, and Clinique Alpa is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The visit is a full consultation, not a quick look in, a 60-minute appointment to take a careful history, examine you and agree a clear plan. Where clinically appropriate after assessment, we arrange blood tests, write a referral or provide a sick note. With your consent we send a short summary to your NHS GP.
- Suitability assessed first. We check that a home visit is the right and safe option. Tell us your postcode and what you need, and we will confirm that we can reach you.
- Sometimes the clinic is the quicker option. Where travelling to us is manageable, a 30 minute clinic consultation is £100.
- Care that joins up with the rest. If something is better dealt with in clinic at 466 Green Lanes, Palmers Green, or by a specialist, we will say so and arrange it.

Can a doctor visit me at home today?
Often, yes. A private doctor home visit can be booked for later the same day when a doctor is free: the booking page shows the times still open today, from 90 minutes ahead. If no time is shown, call 020 8882 8088 and we will tell you the earliest visit we can offer.
How much is a private doctor call out in London?
A doctor call out is a 60 minute GP home visit. It is from £250 an hour Monday to Friday for starts between 9am and 7pm, from £325 an hour on Saturday, Sunday and England bank holidays, and from £450 an hour for starts between 8pm and 11pm on any day. The first 20 minutes of the one-way drive from our Palmers Green clinic are included, and each further 20 minutes or part of it adds £50. A 60 minute home visit starting between 9am and 7pm is from £250 an hour Monday to Friday and from £325 an hour on Saturday, Sunday and England bank holidays. A visit starting between 8pm and 11pm is from £450 an hour on any day (the evening rate); a 7pm start is the day rate. Bookings between midnight and 9am are available by telephone arrangement only: call the doctor directly on 020 8882 8088. An extended visit of up to 120 minutes is £480 in the day or £750 in the evening. The fee is confirmed when you book.

When is a home visit the right choice?
When travelling to a clinic is difficult or unwise. It suits older and frail patients, anyone housebound, young children who are unwell, and anyone who is simply too poorly to come in.
What can the GP do during a home visit?
A full consultation. We take a history, examine you, and where clinically appropriate after assessment we arrange blood tests, refer to a specialist, or issue a sick note. You get the same unhurried care as in clinic.
Is a home visit suitable for an emergency?
No. A home visit is for problems that are not emergencies. If you have severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of a stroke, or heavy bleeding, call 999 now.
