Cookies
Our website and online booking work without cookies. While you book, your browser keeps a temporary booking key in its session storage so the booking can finish; it is deleted when you close the tab.
With your permission, we use cookies from Google (Google Ireland Limited), through Google Tag Manager, Google Ads and Google Analytics, to see which of our adverts lead to bookings and how this website is used. We ask the first time you visit, with Accept all and Reject all. These cookies are only set if you accept:
- Google Ads (_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_gb): which advert brought you here, kept for up to 90 days;
- Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier): how the website is used, kept for up to 2 years.
We remember your answer for 6 months in a cookie called ca_ads_consent, which covers cliniquealpa.co.uk and our booking pages at book.cliniquealpa.co.uk. If you reject, no advertising or analytics cookies are set or read, and any that were set earlier are deleted. Google's tags may still send Google a limited signal without cookies, such as that a page was viewed or a booking was paid, which Google uses to estimate how its adverts perform.
If you arrive from a Google advert, the advert reference in the link you followed is kept with your booking so we can see which adverts lead to bookings. When a booking is paid, we tell Google Ads the booking reference, the amount paid and the currency. We never send Google your name, contact details, address or any health information.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings button at the bottom of every page.
A Meta pixel is not loaded yet. When a pixel identifier is supplied, it will load only after you accept marketing cookies. It will not load on health library pages, and it will not receive symptoms, condition names or the address of a health library guide.
