Specialist input when you need it. We have a specialty surgeon and a plastic surgeon in house, a doctor with a special interest in nutrition and sports medicine, and prompt referrals to trusted private consultants in other fields.
What it is
Some problems need a specialist. We either have that expertise here, or we know the right person and refer you to them quickly.
You do not need a referral to see us. We assess you properly first, and where a hospital specialist or a particular consultant is the right next step, we arrange it promptly with a clear, well written letter, where clinically appropriate after assessment.
How appointments work
Specialist consultations, second opinions and referrals are held by secure video or telephone — available now. Face-to-face specialist care, including procedures, injections and minor surgery, is available at our Palmers Green clinic from Wednesday 12 August 2026.
If your problem needs an examination, urgent care or hospital assessment, we will say so and direct you to the right service.
In house and by referral
Every consultation begins with assessment. We recommend, refer and write only what the clinical picture supports.
Dr Alpa J. Morawala, Clinical Director and Specialty Surgeon — MBBS, MRCSEd, MFSTEd, MSc, MA (Clinical Education) — leads our minor surgery. You can discuss and plan a procedure by video, and procedures take place in clinic from Wednesday 12 August 2026.
Mr Kamal El-Ali, Specialty Plastic Surgeon, advises on scar revision, keloid management, skin lesions and related concerns.
Dr Amit Morawala offers nutrition and sports medicine consultations by secure video, with careful interpretation of blood results. Ultrasound guided joint injections are available in clinic from Wednesday 12 August 2026.
For other fields, a prompt referral to a trusted private consultant, arranged and coordinated for you — where clinically appropriate after assessment.
Coordinated care
Whatever the specialty, we keep your care joined up. We hold your history, explain what the specialist says, and with your consent share a summary with your NHS GP. You can read more about the team and the work they do.
Clinique Alpa provides private healthcare. It does not replace your registered NHS GP. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). If you are unsure which route is right, contact the clinic and we will point you the right way.

Joined up records. With your consent, we send a short summary to your NHS GP so your records stay connected.

A specialist consultation is £100 for 30 minutes, with longer appointments at £150 for 45 minutes and £180 for 60 minutes.
