What it is
Independent medical evidence for your PIP claim.
The piece most people miss is that the assessor may never see the day to day reality of living with a condition. A clear, independent report puts that reality on the record.
I take the time to understand your conditions, I read the evidence you provide, and I write a structured report describing how your health affects the areas PIP looks at: daily living and mobility. It is honest and specific. I do not exaggerate, because accuracy is what gives a report weight with decision makers and tribunals.
Where mental health is part of the picture, my special interest in psychological medicine helps me describe its effect calmly and fairly.
How you are assessed
In person, in Palmers Green.
Assessments take place at our Palmers Green clinic, and your report is delivered by email. Where attending the clinic is difficult because of mobility or health, a home visit assessment can be arranged.
The report is prepared by Dr Mitesh Parmar, MBBS MRCGP, GMC 6113670, an experienced GP with a parallel medico-legal practice. Clinique Alpa is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and every report is independent, impartial and written in plain English.
What is assessed
What you can do, not what you are called.
PIP does not turn on a diagnosis. It turns on how your conditions affect specific everyday activities, and on whether you can do them reliably. A report that only lists diagnoses does not answer the question that is actually being asked.

Doing something reliably
For each activity, the question is not only whether you can do it once, but whether you can do it safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly, and within a reasonable time. Someone who can manage a task once, slowly and in pain, and not again that day, is in a different position from someone who can simply do it. Your report addresses each of those four points where they are relevant to you.

A report is only as strong as the assessment behind it, so every report starts with a proper consultation. Both PIP products include everything below; only the evidence considered and the length of the report differ.

Preparation of the written report. Drafting is included in the fee and is not limited to the appointment hour, and there is no separate drafting charge.

A structured report describing how your conditions affect your daily living and mobility, distinguishing what you describe, what the documents show, what I observe and what I conclude.

One set of reasonable typographical corrections. New evidence or a substantive change is additional work, agreed with you first.

A signed report on clinic letterhead. An honest, evidence based opinion: I do not overstate, and that is the point.

Send the relevant medical evidence and, for a reconsideration or appeal, the decision letter and assessment report. We agree how to get them to the clinic safely.

An unhurried appointment of up to one hour at our Palmers Green clinic. Where attending is difficult, ask about a home visit, which is charged at its own published rate.

I prepare the report and send it to you. Standard turnaround is 48 to 72 hours after the assessment and after I have all the agreed evidence.

A medical report is independent evidence, not advocacy. I do not write what a claim needs; I write what the clinical picture supports. That is precisely what makes a report useful, accuracy is what gives it weight with decision makers and tribunals.
No report can guarantee an award, and anyone who promises that is not being straight with you. The decision rests with the DWP or the tribunal. What you receive is clear, honest, independent evidence that reflects your condition accurately, which you can submit in support of your claim at any stage.

DWP does not require you to obtain new medical evidence. You can send evidence you already hold, including copies of your records. Our fee pays for an assessment and an independent opinion, not for a result.

Some services have a fixed price. Personal injury medico-legal work is charged at an hourly rate, and some expert work is individually scoped. Where a price is not fixed, a written estimate is agreed before work begins. What is a PIP medical report?

Will a report guarantee I am awarded PIP?
No, and anyone who promises that is not being straight with you. The decision rests with the DWP or the tribunal. What I provide is clear, honest, independent evidence that reflects your condition accurately, which you can submit in support of your claim.
Can you help with a mandatory reconsideration or a tribunal appeal?
Yes. Many people come to me after a refusal or a lower award than expected. An independent report can be submitted as part of a mandatory reconsideration request, or for an appeal to an independent tribunal.
How much does a PIP report cost?
There are two fixed prices. A PIP functional and medical assessment and report is £550, which includes an assessment appointment of up to one hour and preparation of your written report, with no separate drafting charge.
