Is this right for me

Who it suits

Adults aged 18 and over who want a doctor to assess shape, volume and whether filler is appropriate. Bring the change you have noticed, rather than a product name or a photograph of someone else. The doctor can also explain when a different assessment, or no procedure, is the safer choice.

Who should not have it

Anyone under 18, anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding, and anyone with an active skin infection in the area. It is also unsuitable if you want treatment on the day, or if you cannot say what was used in an earlier filler and that missing history would make a further procedure unsafe. The doctor will say so if more information is needed first.

The consultation

The consultation is face to face at 466 Green Lanes. The doctor examines the area, asks about previous filler, dental work and allergies, and discusses alternatives, including leaving the area alone. A filler is not placed at this consultation. If a later procedure is appropriate, you are given time to decide, and the plan can stop there.

On the day

Time to ask questions about what filler can and cannot change, how long a result might last, and what would happen if you were unhappy with it. A later appointment is offered only if the doctor advises treatment after examining you. You should be able to explain the plan back in your own words before you leave.

Aftercare and risks

Aftercare

If treatment goes ahead at a later visit, you are told what is normal afterwards, how to look after the area, and when to contact the clinic. Swelling and bruising are common. Increasing pain, skin colour change, or a problem with vision needs urgent attention, and the aftercare note says how to get it. If no treatment is booked, you still leave knowing what was advised.

Risks

Filler can bruise, swell, look uneven or, rarely, affect a blood vessel. The doctor explains how that would be recognised and what the urgent steps would be. A dissolving medicine is not advertised here. The consultation is the place to hear those risks before any decision, not a promise that a complication will not happen.
